Latin & Hispanic Heritage Celebration

'The Phyllis Rose Dance Company has consistently helped us here at Hall School develop a positive learning environment that integrates all students of various racial, ethnic and economic backgrounds. The company has worked with our staff to incorporate global study lessons that assist the students and teachers in understanding various cultures of the world. The experience has always been both rich and diverse. With the partnership of The Phyllis Rose Dance Company we have been able to give not only Hall students, but also the suburban schools we collaborate with via an Inter-district cooperative grant, exposure to art, culture, dance and music of a global nature. Phyllis, thank you for being such a willing and collaborative partner in educating the whole student, and encouraging every student to think critically and in a diverse manner.'

'We particularly enjoyed the historical and educational introductions to each dance piece. This gives the audience an understanding of the culture and origins of each dance. We also enjoyed the audience participation. This allows the volunteers to show some of what they learned in the dance class and during the show.'
